Alusteel Elevates Limassol Skyline with the Amathus Residences project

Rising up majestically along Limassol’s coastline, Amathus Residences is a new, high-value residential development, which features Alusteel’s innovative building envelope solutions. Standing as a testament to modern luxury and architectural ingenuity, this prestigious project highlights Alusteel’s expertise in state of the art engineering and cutting-edge design.

The project was completed recently and it represents an iconic, instantly recognisable addition to the city’s skyline. As the trusted and reliable partners of choice for architects, contractors and developers, Alusteel worked on this project in partnership with Cybarco and Akis Architects. This exemplary collaboration reflects Alusteel’s reputation for working with some of the most esteemed partners in construction and design, including renowned suppliers and acclaimed multi-national system providers.

Project Overview

Created as the residential and long-stay arm of the famous Amathus Hotel, Amathus Residences is located within the expansive five-star hotel resort complex. The masterplan combines one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with a collection of exquisite suites, as well as a two-level penthouse on the top floor. Residents can also make use of an exclusive recreational floor as a focal point for communal and social activities. This third floor space incorporates lounge and dining areas, along with a stunning infinity-edged swimming pool.

The design of Amathus Residences integrates seamlessly with the scenic coastal environment, taking advantage of the sweeping sea views, which serve as a backdrop to every living space. Exemplary of innovative building envelope design, the structure’s silhouette, combines sweeping curves and sharp, clean lines, which not only enhance the visual aesthetics but also offer functional benefits typical of sophisticated facade engineering.

Scope of Work and Technical Details

Alusteel’s contribution to Amathus Residences encompasses a broad spectrum of specialised architectural elements. The scope of work included the installation of high-end aluminium doors and windows, semi-unitised and stick curtain walls that enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of the building.

Additionally, Alusteel crafted bespoke operable curtain wall façades and aluminium decorative pergolas, adding a unique touch to the architectural character of the residences. Glass balustrades and aluminium decorative elements further refine the exteriors, merging safety with style.

The incorporation of glass surfaces, framed by robust aluminium structures, allows natural light to penetrate the interiors. Each element of the facade has been engineered for both visual appeal and performance, ensuring durability against the coastal elements while contributing to the building’s energy efficiency. reflecting Alusteel’s commitment to pushing the boundaries creativity and technology, to build outstanding designs and high-end aluminium, steel and glass products for use across the building envelope.

Impact and Significance

The Amathus Residences project is a cornerstone in Alusteel’s portfolio, demonstrating the company’s capacity to handle complex, large-scale projects that require precision and innovation. For Cyprus, the development of such high-standard living facilities not only enhances the local architectural landscape but also boosts the tourism sector, attracting international visitors and investors to the region. This project underscores Alusteel’s role in driving the local economy forward and raising the architectural standards within the luxury real estate market.
